Brescia-Catanzaro and Como-Pisa, Serie B: TV, formations, predictions

by Michael

Brescia-Catanzaro and Como-Pisa are valid for the 30th day of the Serie B championship: where to watch them on TV and streaming, probable formations and predictions

After the derby win, and after three wins in a row, no one last weekend expected Vivarini’s Catanzaro to lose at home to Reggiana. Yet it did, but the Calabrese still remain firmly inside the playoffs. Ten points ahead of Brescia, who instead must try to take it from here to the end of the season. The standings are very short at the back, so the Lombardi could use a win.

That is unlikely, however, to come: mainly for a simple reason that goes beyond the standings. Catanzaro’s roster has proven on the field to be superior to that of the Rondinelle, so at most there could be a draw. But we do not exclude, of course, the external blow.

In the other match of this article we go to analyze Como-Pisa. It is obvious that Roberts’ Lombardi are favored, also because in those parts they still hope for direct promotion, which is only four points away. Yes, anything can happen at the top, except for Parma, which by now is well on its way to promotion. Pisa is coming off two wins in a row – without conceding a goal – and has turned their season around in a big way. Aquilani has pulled himself out of quicksand in a short time and if the league ended now would go to the playoffs for promotion. But this time the Tuscans’ run should stop.

Brescia-Catanzaro prediction

Between Brescia and Catanzaro looms a match of at least one goal per team. Brescia is unlikely to win, and since an outside (but not impossible) affirmation seems equally unlikely to us, we opt for a draw.

The likely lineups

BRESCIA (4-3-2-1): Avella; Dickmann, Adorni, Papetti, Jallow; Bisoli, Paghera, Besaggio; Galazzi, Bianchi; Borrelli.
CATANZARO (4-4-2): Fulignati; Situm, Brighenti, Antonini, Scognamillo; Sounas, Pompetti, Petriccione, Vandeputte; Iemmello, Ambrosino.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-1

The prediction of Como-Pisa

After two matches without taking a goal, this time Pisa on the field of Como the goal should take it. Three-goal race overall with a victory for the Lombardi looking fairly certain.

The probable formations

COMO (4-2-3-1): Semper; Iovine, Odenthal, Goldaniga, Sala; Braunoder, Bellemo; Chaja, Verdi, Da Cunha; Cutrone.
PISA (4-2-3-1): Loria; Barbieri, Caracciolo, Canestrelli, Esteves; Marin, Veloso; Arena, Valoti, D’Alessandro; Moreo.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-1
