The British made it big, and it was entirely predictable that that misplaced headline would generate such a wide-ranging controversy. Just as it was predictable, on the other hand, that the aggrieved party might decide to take legal action, the moment it came across such inelegant and wholly inappropriate words.
We had already told you here that Melissa Satta will not suffer passively the decision by the British tabloids to call her a sex-addict. The showgirl rightly wants justice to be done, and that is why, in recent days, she filmed herself in the midst of a long outburst aimed at raising awareness about what she has been forced to endure over the past year. All kinds of things have been said about her affair with Matteo Berrettini, so much so that both have come out of this relationship with practically broken bones.
She has, however, paid too high and decidedly unfair a price with this story of the alleged man-eater who allegedly destroyed the career of her former tennis boyfriend. She has defended herself very well already with those Instagram Stories, yet someone in the past few hours has taken to the field to pull her sides and try to restore some order to what has happened in the past week.
Berrettini-Satta, Panatta slams live
Already in the past, champion Adriano Panatta had publicly come out in defense of the couple composed of the tennis player and the former showgirl. He had called on the people on social media to put an end to those unnecessary controversies, but to no avail was his appeal.
Over the weekend, while speaking to RaiNews24, he tried again: “The accusations against Melissa Satta are ridiculous,” he said, “I, who have experience having been a professional sportsman, assure you that love does not hurt at all. If one makes love, so to speak serene, with one’s partner, wife or girlfriend, it does not hurt at all.”
“Logically, if he plays particular games for three or four hours and doesn’t sleep,” added the former tennis player, “it’s not that it hurts him, he’s a jerk, because logically afterwards there is a performance. Love, as it were, marries, in fact some times it even does good.” Will this ruling be enough to silence everyone? It would be nice, but…
