Berrettini, a completely different version of events pops up than the one reported by the tennis player: where is the truth?
With Melissa Satta’s threats to sue, the curtain has come down, definitively, on the love story that most of all held the headlines last year. That is, between the former Striscia la notizia model and Roman tennis player Matteo Berrettini, who said goodbye just over 12 months after their first, and apparently fateful, meeting in Miami.
Things between them had gotten serious. Very serious. To the point that, on a couple of occasions, the showgirl had posted shots on social media of her with her boyfriend and son Maddox and talked about their trio as a family. Which, so the well-informed report, at one point “alarmed” the Wimbledon 2021 finalist. It was known that Kevin Prince Boateng’s ex-wife wanted a serious affair and, perhaps, even another child, but it seems that Matteo, for his part, did not feel up to it. Hence the probably inevitable decision to break up, instead of continuing down two different paths that might never have met.
If he seems more or less serene, ready to return to the field, the beautiful Melissa appears much more upset. Not just because of the breakup itself, but rather because of the foreign headlines that have followed in the past few days: a British tabloid spoke of her as a sex addict and Satta, as is only fair, announced that she will take legal action to punish the journalists who were guilty of this totally inappropriate gesture.

He had spoken about their history in a much more delicate way, however, Berrettini, who during the press conference via Zoom with Italian journalists had dismissed the question about Melissa in this way: “We are no longer together – these had been his words – but I thank her for this beautiful year.”
Satta has in a sense “denied” him, then, although it remains understood that the former lady Berrettini was not referring to the story itself-she was very much in love with Matteo-but to the countless criticisms she has suffered over these long 12 months.
