Barcelona-Milan friendly match: tv, streaming, likely lineups, prediction

by Mark

Barcelona-Milan is a friendly and is played on Wednesday at 01:30 (Italian time): news, stats, probable formations, prediction, live TV and streaming.

It’s only summer soccer, that’s the spiel we hear every time. But Paulo Fonseca’s AC Milan, in the United States, has already taken some important satisfaction by beating Manchester City and Real Madrid in a matter of days. The Rossoneri, after a pyrotechnic 3-2 win over the reigning English champions, narrowly bent former Ancelotti’s Blancos thanks to a goal by Nigerian Chukwueze.

Both City and Real sent out formations stuffed with youngsters and second-liners but these are still hopeful victories that instill a certain optimism. Especially after the Portuguese coach’s arrival was greeted with enormous skepticism by such a demanding square as the Rossoneri. Milan, on the contrary, has shown excellent things, despite the fact that the market has not yet taken off (the only purchases of note are those of Morata and Pavlovic, but more is needed).

Flick’s Barça is shining in the States

Before returning to Italy-the next fixture will be against Monza in the Berlusconi Trophy-the Diavolo will play another luxury friendly. This time with Barcelona in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Blaugrana, like AC Milan, are shining in the States and got the better of both City and Real in a Clasico decided by a brace from 2001 class Pau Victor (2-1). Coach Hansi Flick, in short, seems to have started off on the right foot, although like his colleague Fonseca he is waiting for good news from a market that has so far brought in too little.

Against the Rossoneri there will be no Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres, who are still on vacation, while Araujo, Pedri, Gavi, Vitor Roque and de Jong are injured. Fonseca, for his part, has recently rejoined Reijnders, Theo Hernandez and Maignan. None of the three, however, will be available for the anticipated friendly with Barcelona.

The prediction

The two teams appeared healthy and there seems to be the makings for an entertaining friendly, from more than two goals overall and at least one on each side.

The probable formations of Barcelona-Milan

BARCELONA (4-2-3-1): ter Stegen; Valle, Christensen, Inigo Martinez, Baldé; Casado, Bernal; Pau Victor, Pablo Torre, Unai Hernandez; Lewandowski.
MILAN (4-2-3-1): Torriani; Calabria, Tomori, Thiaw, Terracciano; Bennacer, Loftus-Cheek; Chukwueze, Pulisic, Saelemaekers; Jovic.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-2
