Badosa-Navarro is a US Open quarterfinal match: analysis, statistics, news, schedule, prediction, live TV and streaming.
The North American concrete is giving us back a new version of Paula Badosa. Or rather, very similar to the previous one, if we consider that for quite some time the Spanish tennis player, due to continuing muscle problems, has not played at this level. After the Cincinnati semifinal, the 1997 class is doing well in the Big Apple as well: in Flushing Meadows, in fact, she had never gone beyond the round of 16.
Badosa has so far conceded practically nothing if we exclude the fairly hard-fought victory in the third round against Romanian Ruse, in which she even had to cancel a match point (4-6 6-1 7-6). Otherwise, none were able to trouble the Iberian, who prevailed in two sets against Swiss Golubic, U.S. Townsend and Chinese Wang. In the quarters, however, it may not go smoothly, as Badosa will have to contend with one of the most improved tennis players in recent months, Emma Navarro. The American, who has climbed the rankings to the number 12 position, has already taken an illustrious scalp in New York, that of compatriot Coco Gauff, the defending US Open champion. Navarro’s dominance in the third set was decisive, with the title holder beginning to collect one unforced error after another. In the previous rounds, the New Yorker had prevailed over Blinkova, Rus and Kostyuk. The only previous meeting between the two dates back to last May: at the Internazionali d’Italia it was Badosa who came out on top in a comeback in the third set.

The Prediction
Both have shown great things so far but Badosa’s greater experience and more powerful strokes in our opinion will make the difference. The Spaniard will most likely come out on top in three sets.
