Arsenal-Liverpool, Premier League: odds and predictions

Arsenal-Liverpool is a Premier League Week 10 match played on Sunday at 17:30 Italian time: statistics, likely formations, predictions, live TV streaming

ARSENAL – LIVERPOOL | Sunday 5:30pm

Spectacle and twists are two ingredients that should not be lacking in one of the most spectacular matches of the tenth round of the Premier League. Arsenal and Liverpool will face each other at the Emirates Stadium, in a match that already looks like a last resort for the Reds, who are hunting for certainties in the Premier League. The Gunners, however, are no longer those of past years. Arteta’s side – who annihilated Tottenham seven days ago and scrambled Bodo Glimt in the Europa League – are currently top of the table, one point ahead of Manchester City.

In the match against Rangers, Jurgen Klopp launched a much more offensive formation, with four strikers lined up from the start. A formation that is unlikely to be repeated against the Gunners, not least because the Reds have shown several problems in terms of balance in the early part of the season. Arteta rotated his team in the Europa League, implementing a wise balance of forces. Martinelli, Xhaka and Gabriel, also starters against Bodo, are expected to start again, with Odegaard likely to regain his role as suggestion man. Rowe and Elneny are out due to muscle pains. Liverpool’s infirmary is much fuller, with Klopp having to do without Keita, Chamberlain, Arthur and Curtis Jones. 4-3-3 o 4-2-3-1? This is the dilemma of the eve in the Reds house, which Klopp will probably dissolve only a few minutes before the kick-off.

The Prediction

RThe oddsmakers leaning slightly in Arsenal’s favour, who have been enchanting with exciting performances so far. The pace, quality and intensity of Arteta’s men should once again put the defensive chessboard led by Van Dijk in great difficulty. Therefore, Arsenal should be able to snatch at least a point, in a match of at least two goals in total.

Arsenal Liverpool matchday squad

  • ARSENAL (4-2-3-1) Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Jesus
  • LIVERPOOL (4-3-3) Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Diaz

PROBABLE RESULT 2-2
