Arsenal-Leicester, Premier League: TV, line-ups, predictions

by Michael

A big match, on matchday two. With Arteta’s Londoners clearly favourites after their debut win against Crystal Palace away. But not only that, of course. The guests, who have confirmed Rodgers on the bench, no longer look like that formation capable of giving everyone a headache, and the debut confirmed this feeling. A double lead, at home, against Brentford, a team that failed to maintain calmness and lucidity, and a draw grabbed in an unexpected way by the visiting team. In short, a different approach to this new season was certainly expected of the Foxes.

The Gunners, on the other hand, did their job and managed to impose themselves without any particular problems on Crystal’s pitch. Martinelli’s goal after twenty minutes put the game on the downhill slope for the formation coached by the Spaniard Arteta. Who then managed to find, however, only in the final, the goal that put the lock on the game. In general, however, despite some difficulties that could be expected in the central phase of the match, Arsenal managed the challenge and brought home the full result. The objective, of course, remains the same for what is the first official outing of the season in front of their own fans.

The Prediction

We could really do with an Arsenal victory. Arteta’s men have also shown in pre-season that they are a different team to last year’s, when they missed out on Champions League qualification in sensational fashion. It has certainly taken too long, and the club has done well to hold on, but Arteta’s work is starting to pay off. Leicester, on the other hand, shouldn’t cause any major headaches.

The likely Arsenal-Leicester line-ups

ARSENAL (4-2-3-1): Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli: Jesus.
LEICESTER (3-4-2-1): Iversen; Amartey, Fofana, Evans; Justin, Ndidi, Tielemans, Castagne; Maddison, Iheanacho; Vardy.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 3-1
