A dream stage for Berrettini and Sinner: fans in ecstasy

by Thorsten

Berrettini and Sinner, the announcement has already got fans halfway around the world daydreaming: very little time left.

The Sinner effect is there and it shows. It can be seen, by way of example, in the fact that tickets for the Internazionali d’Italia sold out even faster than expected.

The event is now on the horizon and the Capital is gearing up in the best possible way, so that this edition can be even more special than previous ones. The Rome Masters 1000 is always special, if only because of the magnificent setting in which the competing tennis players have the chance to play: the Foro Italico is a dream stage and the solemnity of the place certainly has a positive spillover effect on the conduct of the tournament. But the Eternal City, it is known, is chock-full of venues that exude history and excitement, which is why it was thought, this year, to expand a bit the boundaries of the perimeter within which to enclose the Internazionali d’Italia. With a substantial novelty to surround the event, highly anticipated by Italians but also by foreigners who, with the excuse of the IBI24, will perhaps have the opportunity to visit the magical Rome.

The announcement is of the powerful kind, the kind destined to be talked about. “The Internazionali d’Italia is coming to Piazza del Popolo this year,” said the Councillor for Major Events, Tourism, Fashion and Sports of the Eternal City, Alessandro Onorato.

Berrettini and Sinner at the center of the world

“With the “Tennis in Piazza” initiative,” he added, “which will make it possible to set up a temporary earth tennis court in Piazza del Popolo, sport will reach everyone, Romans and tourists, young and old, resetting all social and economic barriers to zero. This is the real purpose of sporting activity, the best means of promoting a healthy lifestyle focused on personal well-being. Moreover, as we have been saying for a long time, major events must actively involve the whole city. “

“In the last editions of the Internationals,” Onorato continued, “we expanded the perimeter of the tournament through targeted communication in the subways, downtown streets and bridges, but also with theme nights. This year, which will set another record in attendance and induced income for Rome, we will be able to bring professional tennis players to Piazza del Popolo. The images, given the unique setting, will go around the world.”

The best news, however, concerns our two champions of the heart, namely Jannik Sinner and Matteo Berrettini. One of the two will perform in the square before the rapturous eyes of young and old who will flock to the heart of the city to fulfill the dream of seeing them live.
