Eliteserien and Allsvenskan predictions for July 13: four winners at odds of 6

by Lea

Two of Scandinavia’s top leagues, Norway’s Eliteserien and Sweden’s Allsvenskan, are currently in full swing and have several interesting matches on offer on Sunday. In Sweden, most of the 15th round is scheduled to take place over several days: among the first teams to take the field is Brommapojkarna, who seem to have changed gear in recent weeks. Thanks to two consecutive wins against Degerfors and Norrkoping, both away from home, the Rossoneri have ended their long losing streak (six consecutive defeats) and moved away from the relegation zone.

They have not won at home since April: the opportunity to return to winning ways in front of their fans is the match against Oster, second from bottom in the table, who were knocked out again last weekend (0-1 against leaders Mjallby). AIK and Djurgarden, two historic Swedish football clubs, should not disappoint either: the Solna team, third in the standings and five points behind the leaders, despite being too inconsistent at home lately, has never lost—the only team unbeaten at home along with Mjallby—and will in all likelihood prevail over Degerfors, which lies in third-last place with five consecutive defeats (in the last one, they conceded five goals to Djurgarden). The semi-finalists in the last Conference League, on the back of this resounding success, have a very good chance of coming away with three points from their trip to disastrous Varnamo, who are bottom of the table with only four points from 14 games.

Brann-Viking, second against first

In Norway, there are six games scheduled. All eyes are on Rosenborg, whose pursuit of the top of the table – the Bianconeri are fourth, but now far behind Viking in first – has suffered a surprising slowdown in recent times.
The Trondheim club has picked up just one point in four games and has also been knocked out of the national cup by Sarpsborg.

Rosenborg cannot afford any more missteps: HamKam is a tough opponent and proved it in the two matches against Bryne and Brann, which ended in draws, but in Trondheim they have little chance of avoiding defeat, especially against a team that has won four of the last five previous matches. But the most important match of the day is undoubtedly the clash between Brann and Viking, second and first in the standings respectively. The visitors have nine points more – but also one game more – and will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the league to forget their slip-up in the cup: at least one goal per side is expected. Finally, the matches between Kristiansund and Sarpsborg and between Bryne and Valerenga are also likely to be eventful.
