Cremonese’s adventure in the 2025-26 Serie A season got off to a flying start. The Grigiorossi were the big surprise of the first matchday. Lecce vs. Milan prediction: the previous matches speak for themselves: immediate redemption
Milan’s weaknesses were all on display in their debut against Cremonese, who took advantage of a couple of indecisive moments by the Rossoneri in their own half to win at San Siro (1-2) and take home three points that were as important as they were unexpected.
Fortunately for Massimiliano Allegri’s men, it was only the first day of the season: there is plenty of time to make the necessary adjustments, considering that the transfer market will remain open for a few more days. If nothing else, the Livorno coach, who returned to the bench after a sabbatical year, has realized that the situation is more complex than expected and that the fallout from last season will not be easily eliminated. In addition to a defense that was twice beaten by Cremonese, the attack also struggled and wasted numerous chances. The fact is that the Rossoneri cannot afford another misstep in Lecce, failing to take advantage of a fairly easy schedule, at least in the first part of the tournament. Yes, the match against the Salentini will be another good test for a team that needs to react immediately after a nightmare debut. To beat the Giallorossi, however, a different attitude will be needed: Eusebio Di Francesco’s team came away unscathed from a difficult pitch at Marassi a week ago, drawing 0-0 with Genoa. They did well, especially when not in possession, although some saves by Falcone were crucial in saving the result and preventing the Rossoblù from taking the lead.
Lecce-Milan: the latest news on the lineups
Di Francesco will reconfirm Camarda from the 1st minute: it will be the young center forward who grew up in Milan’s youth academy who will lead the attack in the match against the Rossoneri, winning the ballot against new signing Stulic. Pierotti, who was suspended in Genoa, returns to the attacking trident. Otherwise, the Giallorossi coach will not change the starting eleven from the Ferraris match.
Leao is still unavailable for Milan: the Portuguese player is recovering from a calf injury but Allegri will not risk him. Pulisic is also not at his best: the coach is thinking of pairing Saelemaekers with Mexican Gimenez in attack. Bad news for Jashari: the midfielder signed from Club Brugge in the summer has been injured and will be out for at least eight weeks.

The prediction
Milan will be looking to turn the page immediately after their false start against Cremonese: we expect a reaction from Allegri’s men, but above all greater attention in defense. The Rossoneri, who haven’t lost to Lecce since 2006 – three wins in their last three meetings – should prevail in a match with less than three goals in total.
Probable lineups for Lecce-Milan
LECCE (4-3-3): Falcone; Kouassi, Gaspar, Tiago Gabriel, Gallo; Coulibaly, Ramadani, Berisha; Pierotti, Camarda, Tete Morente.
MILAN (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Musah, Loftus-Cheek, Modric, Fofana, Estupinan; Saelemaekers, Gimenez. Will Lecce manage to avoid defeat? No (69%, 85 Votes) Yes (31%, 38 Votes)

POSSIBLE RESULT: 0-1
Thanks to their almost impossible-to-predict victory at San Siro against Massimiliano Allegri’s Milan (1-2).
Despite having very little possession, keeping a low center of gravity, and having far fewer chances than the Rossoneri, Davide Nicola’s team managed to take surgical advantage of the Diavolo’s defensive errors and, at the same time, close down the spaces well. Baschirotto and Bonazzoli – the latter scoring with a sensational bicycle kick – put their stamp on a feat that will certainly boost confidence ahead of the upcoming fixtures.
Cremonese, in fact, have three delicate head-to-head matches coming up: the first is against another newly promoted team, Sassuolo. The Neroverdi, on the other hand, failed to pick up any points in their opening game. Fabio Grosso’s men were unable to do much against a Napoli side that was already on top form, preventing the Emilian team from developing their game despite taking to the field with anything but a conservative attitude. Sassuolo, however, still seems to have what it takes to have a quiet season, with salvation theoretically coming without any worries. The first real test for the dominant team of the last Serie B tournament will be the match at the “Zini,” a stadium where the Neroverdi have never won in their last four games between Serie A and B (the record is one win apiece and two draws).
Cremonese-Sassuolo: the latest news on the lineups
Nicola welcomes back Vazquez and Valoti, who were suspended at San Siro. However, it is not certain that the Italian-Argentine will start: Sanabria, who arrived a few days ago after leaving Torino, is eager to play, along with the other new signings Payero and Moumbagna. Otherwise, the starting eleven against Sassuolo will be identical to the one that faced Milan last Saturday.

The prediction
Sassuolo could face the same difficulties as in the match against Napoli, coming up against a well-organized team like Nicola’s, which will concede little. Cremonese, however, does not have the quality of the Italian champions, especially in their own half: that’s why we predict a match with at least one goal for each side.

SASSUOLO (4-3-3): Turati; Walukiewicz, Muharemovic, Romagna, Doig; Ghion, Boloca, Lipani; Berardi, Pinamonti, Laurienté.
