Wednesday, Nov. 1 predictions: Coppa Italia, DFB Pokal and other national cups around the world are on the line.

The third round of the Coppa Italia continues today with three more matches scheduled: Genoa-Reggiana, Lecce-Parma and Udinese-Cagliari. The Gilardino-coached team is the main favorite to pass the round today, while Lecce will have to watch out for Parma in great form in Serie B.

In the German Cup, avalanches of goals are expected in matches featuring Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

Predictions for other matches

The English League Cup is also being played, with the highlight match represented by Manchester United-Newcastle. Chelsea, disappointing in the Premier League, will do well not to snub this competition that could become a lifeline in the coming months.
