Red Star-Munich is the match for the first day of the Europa League group stage: the line-ups, where to watch it on TV and streaming
It was expected that at least one of Red Star and Monaco would be able to play in the Champions League. Instead, both were eliminated in the last preliminary round: Milojevic’s troop by Tel Aviv, the French one by Psv. And so they will try to get ahead in the Europa League in a difficult debut for both, who are placed in group H together with Trabznospor and Ferencevaros. There is no crossover between the two teams, so there is no chance to go into a comparison of what has been, but there is a decidedly important signal sent out by Monaco after last weekend’s championship.
The guests in fact, after drawing on the pitch of Psg in France, gained their first away win of the season. This is not to say, of course, that Monaco will succeed in this European debut, but the clear feeling is that the line-up led by Belgian Clement can return home with a positive result. If there is a superior team, it is certainly that of the Principality, not only because of the squad at their disposal, but also because of what is the DNA of a club accustomed to such stages.
The Prediction
It’s hard to think of a Monaco defeat, perhaps it’s more likely that the visiting team will succeed. But even that seems difficult. In other words, by exclusion, in a match that might well yield at least one goal per team, it could end in a draw.
