Europa League: predictions on Thursday, July 25 matches.

Europa League, even Farioli’s Ajax is forced to go through the preliminaries to reach the single group stage: predictions.

Among the teams engaged in the second preliminary round of the Europa League we also find a club as emblazoned as Ajax, coming off one of the worst seasons in recent years. The Lancers have changed as many as three coaches and, after also frequenting the bottom of the Eredivisie standings, thanks to a vehement comeback in the second half of the championship they somehow managed to limit the damage, finishing in fifth place and earning a pass to the second-largest continental event.

Before making it to the single group stage, however, the Amsterdam club – as of this year led by Italian coach Francesco Farioli, who managed to bring Nice back to Europe last season – will have to get through the preliminaries. The first hurdle is the Serbs of Vojvodina, who just made their league debut with a success against Tekstilac. We hypothesize a victory – probably even a round one given the Tuscan coach’s very offensive play – by the Lancers, who should score two to four goals, mortgaging passage to the round. Trabzonspor and Panathinaikos, who will most likely get the better of the Slovaks of Ruzomberok and the Bulgarians of Botev Plovdiv, will not commit any missteps either. Victory is also within reach for the Norwegians of Molde, who have had to deal with a slump in the Eliteserien in the past two weeks: they start favored against the Danes of Silkeborg in a match with at least three goals total.

The predictions on the other matches

Rapid Vienna, after stopping AC Milan in a friendly, should at least avoid defeat against Wisla Krakow: a challenge that could, however, turn out to be more balanced than expected.

Goals are also in sight in Sheriff Tiraspol-Elfsborg and Kilmarnock-Club Brugge, but it is also a match of at least one goal per side that will oppose Corvinul Hunedoara, a club that plays in the Romanian cadet division, and the Croatians of Rijeka. Finally, Braga will not take any risks: the Portuguese, who played in the group stage of the Champions League last season, are clear favorites over the Israelis of Maccabi Petach Tikva.
