Anderlecht-West Ham is a match valid for the third day of the Conference League group stage: tv, formations, predictions
ANDERLECHT – WEST HAM | Thursday 6.45pm
N In Group B of the Conference League, along with FCSB and Silkeborg, Andrelecht and West Ham are obviously the two teams that will go ahead in the event. It only remains to be seen who will make it directly to the round of 16 and who will have to overcome the play-off with the relegated teams from the Europa League. The English, who have Scamacca in the squad – the Italian striker, after scoring in Europe last weekend, also found his first goal in the Premier League – are on a full points lead and therefore obviously favourites. And that is also why they might be content with a draw.
On the other hand, the Belgian side are almost forced to win in order to then go all out for the return match next week. It will not be easy, also because of the moment the home team is experiencing: in the championship, in fact, an unexpected defeat against Charleroi arrived last weekend. One-nil at home, so even the failure to score a goal sounds like a wake-up call. Yes, the English team’s defence is far from rock solid, and only against Wolverhampton did they not concede a goal in their last matches, but to think that Anderlecht can manage to take the win seems very complicated.
The Prediction
A match of at least one goal per team. That also seems out of the question. And as West Ham might well settle for a draw in the end, this result might be the one that should come out in the end.
The likely line-up for Anderlecht-West Ham
- ANDERLECHT (3-5-2): Van Crombrugge: Debast, Hoedt, Vertonghen; Murillo, Arnstad, Ashimeru, Verschaeren, Duranville; Silva, Rafaelov.
- WEST HAM (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Kehrer, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Soucek, Rice; Bowen, Paquetà, Cornet; Scamacca.
POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-1
