Bodo/Glimt-PSV Eindhoven, Europa League: tv, formations, predictions

by Michael

BODO/GLIMT – PSV | Thursday 9 p.m.

With last week’s win against Arsenal at home, Psv have pulled off the pass for the second phase of the Europa League. Now, as the Gunners are two points ahead and play against last-place Zurich, however, to think that the Dutch can take the top spot seems exaggerated. Yes, it should definitely be a «marked» game between Bodo and Psv, with the Norwegians needing a win to keep their eyes off the result at the Emirates. The motivations are distinctly different, and Psv might as well resort to a massive turnover to risk nothing. The round of 16 is in the bag.

Returning at least to the Conference League right now is evidently the goal of the host team that lost out last week in Switzerland thus keeping open the possibility of a reversal on the last day scheduled for Thursday night. But the feeling, of course, is that Bodo can take the full stake, thus going on to play in the same event that featured it last year.

The Prediction

A race that as said seems marked. A match that as said could give Bodo qualification to the Conference League. Psv has nothing more to ask, it is not possible to think about first place in the group especially going by what is Arsenal’s home effort.

The probable lineups of Bodo/Glimt-Psv

  • BODO/GLIMT (4-3-3): Haikin; Sampsted, Moe, Hoibraaten, Wembang; Vetlesen, Saltness, Gronbaek; Solbakken, Espejord, Pellegrino.
  • PSV (4-3-3): Benitez; Mwene, Ramalho, Branthwaite, Max; Veerman, Sangare, Gutierrez; Simons, El-Ghazi, Gakpo.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-1
