Bologna-Parma and Lazio-Empoli, Serie A: TV, streaming, likely lineups, predictions

by Mike

Bologna-Parma and Lazio-Empoli are two matches valid for the seventh day of Serie A and are played Sunday at 3 p.m.: live TV, streaming, probable formations, predictions.

Bologna returned from the Anfield challenge with a (predictable) defeat but also with a lot of certainties: Liverpool won 2-0 thanks to MacAllister and Salah’s flashes, yet Vincenzo Italiano’s team did not demerit at all, coming close to scoring several times and holding its own against a top club like the Reds. Probably one of the best performances of the season for the Reds, now called to find continuity in the league as well.

In Serie A the Felsinei are not shining and the only success in six days remains the one with Monza. Last Saturday came a draw against Atalanta (1-1), with Bologna able to keep the lead until 90′ despite a man down (expelled Lucumì) from the beginning of the second half. On this round at the “Dall’Ara” is the scene of Parma, for a very heartfelt Emilian derby that has been missing for a few seasons. The ducali, after 4 points with Fiorentina and Milan in the first two days, have gone a bit astray: the defense continues to tread water – since August Parma has never conceded less than two goals – and out of 12 available points they brought home only one thanks to the draw in Lecce.

The Prediction

Parma has appeared to be struggling in recent outings but in the derby could take advantage of the fact that Bologna has expended a lot of energy in their Champions League commitment. Both should score.

The probable lineups of Bologna-Parma

BOLOGNA (4-3-3): Skorupski; Posch, Beukema, Casale, Miranda; Aebischer, Freuler, Fabbian; Orsolini, Castro, Iling Jr.
PARMA (4-2-3-1): Suzuki; Delprato, Osorio, Balogh, Coulibaly; Hernani, Bernabé; Man, Sohm, Mihaila; Bonny.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-2

Empoli is still unbeaten

Empoli is one of the few teams still unbeaten not only domestically but also in Europe. The Tuscans have not even cashed in a defeat between the league and Coppa Italia and before the second break for national team commitments occupy a very decent sixth place in the standings

Couldn’t have hoped for better than that for Azzurri coach Roberto D’Aversa, who also emerged unscathed from the derby with Fiorentina (0-0) on Sunday, forcing the Viola not to take a single shot on goal. Empoli will therefore be able to afford to take on Lazio at the Olimpico without any kind of pressure. The Biancocelesti, for their part, are finding the continuity that had been lacking in their first outings of the season: three wins in a row between the league and Europa League for the Capitolini, fresh from their bombastic cup victory over French side Nice, who were swept 4-1 in Rome. Marco Baroni’s team is taking shape and the 10 goals scored in the last 3 matches tell us of a greatly improved ball possession phase.

The Prediction

Will Empoli, which has conceded only two goals so far, be able to stop Lazio’s attack, which instead has scored 12? In our opinion, the biancocelesti have everything to put an end to the Azzurri’s unbeaten streak, although we don’t expect too many goals in the challenge at the Olimpico.

The probable lineups of Lazio-Empoli

LAZIO (4-2-3-1): Provedel; Lazzari, Gila, Romagnoli, Nuno Tavares; Guendouzi, Rovella; Isaksen, Dia, Zaccagni; Castellanos.
EMPOLI (3-4-2-1): Vasquez; Goglichidze, Ismajli, Viti; Gyasi, Henderson, Grassi, Pezzella; Esposito, Anjorin; Colombo.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-0
