Young Boys-Inter is a match valid for the third day of the Champions League and is played on Wednesday at 9 p.m.: live TV, probable formations, prediction.
So far Inter’s journey in the “new” Champions League has been impeccable. In the opener the Nerazzurri made a splash at home to Manchester City, in a stadium where few usually manage to take away points, drawing 0-0. On the second day, however, Simone Inzaghi’s team went wild against Red Star, overwhelming them 4-0 at the San Siro. Now comes another match within reach for the Italian champions, staging in the Swiss capital, Bern, against Young Boys.
An away match on paper affordable but still not completely free of pitfalls – the Helvetians play on a synthetic pitch, a potential “trap” for many – in which Inzaghi will again be able to afford a full-bodied turnover. In attack, for example, it could be Taremi’s time, with the Iranian center forward ready to take the place of Lautaro Martinez, decisive last Sunday against Roma in the league. If Inter managed to return from the capital with the three points in its pocket, in fact, it owes it to its captain and scorer, author of the goal that decided the match at the Olimpico (0-1) and gave Inter its third consecutive victory after those with Udinese and Torino. Bern will also be without Calhanoglu and Acerbi, both unavailable, while former Napoli man Zielinski remains in doubt.
And what about Young Boys? For the time being, it is a Champions League to forget for the yellow-and-white lineup. After the 3-0 loss to Aston Villa on the first day – the English did the business at the Wankdorf Stadion – they were overwhelmed with goals by Barcelona (5-0). Eight goals conceded and zero goals scored: none of the 36 teams, to date, has been so disastrous, and the last place in the overall standings is not all that surprising. The team led by Joel Magnin is not shining in the league either, where it is only 10th.

The Prediction
Inter have kept their goals unbeaten in ten of their last sixteen Champions League matches and another clean sheet should come in Bern, despite the fact that the Nerazzurri have not particularly excelled in their own half of the pitch this early in the season. The victory of Inzaghi’s team, beyond the “rebus” synthetic pitch, does not seem to be in question.
