Wednesday 5 October football predictions: Champions League again

by Thorsten

Wednesday 5 October football predictions, Juventus find themselves on their last legs in their Champions League group on matchday three: after defeats against PSG and Benfica, beating Maccabi Haifa is crucial to keep their hopes of qualifying for the round of 16. The three points are well within reach, while decidedly more complicated is the match that awaits the other Italian in play this Wednesday, namely AC Milan. At Stamford Bridge against Chelsea it will be difficult to come out on top in a game that promises at least one goal per team.

Other predictions

There should be no shortage of goals in three other challenges: Leipzig-Celtic, Manchester City-Copenaghen and Real Madrid-Shakhtar Donetsk in which the home teams are clear favourites to win.
