Wednesday 12 July predictions: Champions League and Conference League

by Michael

Wednesday 12 July predictions: The first leg of the first qualifying round of the Champions League is completed.

Five more first leg matches in the first qualifying round of the next Champions League are scheduled today. The Kazakhs of Astana should at least avoid defeat against the Georgians of Dinamo Tbilisi, while the Swedes of Hacken will most probably start their continental adventure with a comfortable victory against TNS, mortgaging passage to the round. There will be no shortage of goals in the match between Slovan Bratislava and Hesperange, with the Slovaks expected to score no less than two goals.

The next Conference League qualifiers also begin. It starts with two matches before tomorrow’s blowout. In the Faroe Islands, we expect a positive result from hosts B36 Torshavn against Paide.

Other match predictions

The Copa Sudamericana play-offs take place on the Italian night: victory within reach for Botafogo, who are dominating the Brasileirao. Those on the hunt for goals should consider the friendly matches between Manchester United, who take on Leeds, who have just been relegated to the Championship, and Borussia Dortmund.
