Tuesday, March 5 predictions: the return leg of the Champions League round of 16 kicks off, Championship and other minor tournaments are also on the field.
The Champions League gets into full swing, kicking off the return leg of the round of 16 tonight with Lazio looking for a resounding qualification on the pitch of Bayern Munich after their surprising first leg victory. The Bavarians at the Allianz Arena are always fearsome, but Lazio has what it takes to score at least one goal and keep the passage of the round in the balance until 90′ and who knows beyond.
In the other round of 16, PSG, which mortgaged passage to the round of 16 in the first leg, should not face any nasty surprises: Real Sociedad will try a comeback, but having won only one of their last nine official matches, it is really hard to imagine any reversals.
Betting other matches
The Asian Champions League is also on the scene with Al Hilal and Al Ittihad facing each other again just days after their league clash finished 3-1.
Also on the field is the English Championship where victories are expected for Leeds and Leicester fighting for direct promotion to the Premier League.
Among the matches with at least three goals overall watch out for Muaither-Al Ahli Doha and Al-Duhail-Al Markhiya of the Qatar Stars League, Altrincham-Dorking of the National League and Peterborough-Northampton of League One.
At least one goal per team is expected in League One’s Barnsley-Bolton and League Two’s Mansfield Town-Milton Keynes Dons.
