Tuesday, March 12 predictions: Champions League, League One, League Two

by Mark

Tuesday, March 12 predictions: the return of the Champions League round of 16 resumes, League One, League Two and other minor tournaments are also on the field.

The Champions League round of 16 concludes this week with Napoli and Inter Milan trying to clinch qualification to the quarterfinals. Taking the field first will be the Calzona-coached team that has a prohibitive challenge on paper against Barcelona. However, the numerous injuries Xavi has to deal with and the excellent form of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia suggest that Napoli can give the Blaugrana a run for their money and that they are capable of scoring at least one goal.

Arsenal after reclaiming first place in the Premier League standings must now make up for the first leg’s defeat to Porto, in great form in the last period: a Gunners victory seems highly likely in a challenge of at least three goals total.

Other match predictions

Tuesday’s Champions League also in Asia with Al Ittihad trying to bounce back from their 2-0 first leg defeat to Al Hilal, who are set to win the Arab championship: there should be no shortage of goals.

Speaking of goals watch out in England for these League One and League Two challenges: Carlisle United-Barnsley, Swindon Town-Accrington Stanley, Wrexham-Harrogate Town, Shrewsbury-Exeter, Wycombe Wanderers-Wigan and Fleetwood Town-Bristol Rovers.
