Juventus, Allegri worried a Pochettino: truth odds on exoneration

Juventus, Allegri’s position as coach is no longer firm: the truth odds on the future of the Bianconeri bench with a deadline

Just before Juventus’ game against Monza yesterday, CEO Maurizio Arrivabene spoke clearly about the position of coach Massimiliano Allegri. His words: Changing technical guidance would be madness. Making summary trials and pointing to a guilty party doesn’t help, Max has a programme to develop over 4 years, if there’s a guilty party it’s me.

In football, however, results rule, and the defeat suffered against Monza, who had never won in Serie A so far, cannot go unnoticed. At the moment Allegri is saved more than anything else by the hefty salary he receives and the length of his contract. However, this does not mean he can be considered untouchable, because Juventus risk elimination from the current Champions League. And he also risks not returning to play in it next season, given the disappointing results. The standings remain fairly short and there is time to make up for it, but Allegri will not have unlimited confidence as Simone Inzaghi did at Inter.

Juventus, odds on coach at Christmas: Allegri eats panettone

According to the odds of a well-known Italian bookmaker, Massimiliano Allegri will most likely eat panettone, as they say in these cases. In short, he will remain at the helm of Juventus at least until Christmas, given that his confirmation on that date is banked at 1.57. Probable, like a victory of the bianconeri over Monza, which however did not arrive yesterday.

Among the possible replacements, the first on the list is Mauricio Pochettino (6.00), a figure who however does not enthuse the fans and in any case has a high salary. Next in line are Zinedine Zidane (9.00) and Thomas Tuchel (16.00), but in case there are cheaper options such as Claudio Ranieri (33.00), Cesare Prandelli or Paulo Sousa (33.00).

One solution, that of Paolo Montero, which would be appreciated by part of the fans and which would undoubtedly be easier, since he is already under contract with the Bianconeri club, being the current coach of the Under-19 team, is not currently contemplated.
