The clue about the possible opponents of the Italians in the Champions League group stage has not gone unnoticed.
We are now only a few hours away from the start of the draw in Nyon that decrees the group stage draw for the next edition of the Champions League. There is much anticipation to know which will be the opponents of the Italians with Napoli, Inter, Milan and Lazio hoping to carve out a starring role.
32 are the teams that will start at the starting ribbons of the competition; all chasing trophy holder Manchester City. Split into eight total groups, only 16 teams (two in each group) will be eligible for the round of 16 of the continent’s top competition. Fresh from winning the tricolor, Garcia’s Napoli will be drawn in the first bracket. Second bracket, on the other hand, for Inter Milan. At least on paper, the draw for Milan and Lazio, who fall into the third bracket, will be much more difficult. As with any major sporting event, bookmakers have also gone wild on the possible pairings of the various groupings. Here is the result.
Champions League draws: from Napoli to Inter, the bookmakers’ ‘verdict’
In this regard, Sisal’s betting analysts can be an excellent source from which to draw and from which – why not – to be inspired. In fact, according to reports, the most credible first-round opponents in Inter’s view are Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Sevilla and Barcelona, all at odds of 6.

Higher, however, are the odds leading to Psg, Feyenoord and Benfica (7.00). As for the Nerazzurri’s possible opponents in the ground bracket, however, watch out for Braga and Psv (5.00). The imbalance of odds, however, mainly concerns Inter’s possible opponents in the fourth tier with Real Sociedad, Union Berlin and Newcastle vying as by far the highest-rated opponents. At home to Lazio, on the other hand, the odds converge in identifying Feyenoord and Benfica (5.50) as the most likely opponents in the first tier (similar discourse applies to AC Milan), Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid (5.50) in the second and Antwerp, Galatasaray and Celtic Glasgow in the fourth.
Among the bogey opponents in the second tier for Milan, watch out for Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid (5.50). Much easier in theory are the contenders in the fourth bracket, with Antwerp and Celtic at 6.00 odds. Spotlights are also on Napoli. According to bookmakers, the Azzurri ‘risk’ to draw mainly Psv and Braga (5.00) in the first bracket and one between Atletico Madrid and Real in the second (5.50). In the fourth bracket great prominence to Real Sociedad (6.00 odds).
