Champions League draw, here are the round of 16 opponents of AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli: live free-to-air TV and free streaming
An unprecedented date for the Champions League round of 16 draw. Due to the imminent stoppage time for the World Cup in Qatar, which will start on 20 November, Europe’s most aristocratic club competition has had to tighten up and finish the rounds well in advance. In Nyon, starting at 12:00 noon, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli will find out which will be their opponents in the round of 16.
Champions League draw, the opponents to avoid
Napoli is the only seed among the three Italians and should theoretically have an easier draw, provided they avoid PSG who surprisingly finished second in their group behind Benfica. It would be easier to draw Borussia Dortmund or Leipzig, better still Eintracht Frankfurt and Club Bruges.
Inter are trembling. Simone Inzaghi would certainly prefer to avoid Guardiola and Haaland’s City and Ancelotti and Benzema’s Real Madrid. Benfica, who knocked off Juventus twice, and Chelsea, who beat AC Milan in both the first leg and the return leg, are not easy opponents either. Conte’s Tottenham probably makes less of an impression, or even better Porto, by now a regular presence in the final phase of the Champions League, but decidedly more approachable. For Milan, the discourse is even worse: Pioli’s opponents are the same as Inter’s except one, Bayern Munich instead of Chelsea.
