Arsenal-Bournemouth prediction: everything points to this outcome

by Thorsten

The 1-0 home defeat against PSG leaves everything open. Even if reaching the Champions League final is now quite complicated for Arteta’s Arsenal, who, despite occupying second place in the table—and with five teams from the Premier League qualifying for next year’s Champions League—cannot afford to relax in the league. The sixth-placed team, the first outside the top four, has 60 points, seven less than the Gunners. In short, they must win against Bournemouth.

Win with a lot of changes, obviously. And it’s not easy to find the right players for what promises to be an intense match: there are still many injuries, and Arteta can’t draw from what initially seemed to be a very deep squad. That is not the case today. It must be said, however, that Bournemouth, after the draw against United, has nothing to ask of the league. Objectively, they are too far from a European place. So it’s not as if they will be putting in a great deal of effort. Obviously, they want to finish on a high and get some satisfaction. All things considered, we believe that Arsenal are unlikely to win this match.

Odds comparison

A draw is priced at 3.50 on Goldbet and Lottomatica and 3-50 on Snai.

The prediction

Yes, a draw. It’s hard to imagine that Arsenal won’t be mentally affected by the return leg of the Champions League semi-final scheduled for next week. However, we think this is a much safer bet, which could see one goal per team.
