Weekend predictions (8-9 October) | Serie A and foreign leagues

by Michael

Weekend predictions: Serie A, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 are back on the pitch after three days of European cups (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League).

In the Italian championship, Napoli and Roma are expected to face on paper easy tasks against the newly promoted Cremonese and Lecce: if they win, they could take advantage of the two direct clashes scheduled for the weekend, which promise goals: Milan-Juventus and Udinese-Atalanta. Goals should also arrive on time in the match between Sassuolo and Inter.

One of the most eagerly awaited matches in Europe is the Klassiker, a term used to refer to the match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the two most successful teams in German football since the founding of the Bundesliga.

The other matches

In terms of goleades, it’s hard not to trust Haaland’s Manchester City and the PSG of Neymar, Mbappé and Messi, the latter returning to levels more akin to his Barcelona days and just as the World Cup in Qatar approaches. Speaking of Barcelona, with Lewandowski on the pitch, La Liga matches increase the goal-scoring potential.

If Borussia Dortmund-Bayern Munich will be the most spectacular match on Saturday, on Sunday all the spotlight will be on Arsenal-Liverpool: there will be fun to be had.
