Sunday, Aug. 25 predictions: Serie A, La Liga, Premier League and Bundesliga

by Thorsten

Sunday Aug. 25 predictions, Napoli will try to forget the resounding thud in Verona but Torino-Atalanta also offers interesting insights.

On the Sunday menu, Serie A offers four matches as it did last weekend. Spotlight on one of the two evening matches, that between Napoli and Bologna: Antonio Conte’s Azzurri after the resounding thud at home to Verona are called to change gear immediately against the formation coached by Vincenzo Italiano, while waiting to welcome their new striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Emilians against Udinese created a lot and collected little, settling for a point: the preconditions for a one-goal match on each side this time around seem to be all there. A potentially prolific match also lies between Torino and Atalanta, two teams that both shined on the first day. La Dea will try to take away three more points but the granata seen against Milan do not seem to be in the mood for gifts. Fiorentina and Venezia must solve their defensive problems and even at the “Franchi” there should be no shortage of goals. Finally, Roma, galvanized by Dybala’s decision to stay in the capital and say no to Saudi petrodollars, is off to a good start in the challenge at the Olimpico with Empoli.

Bets on the other matches

In England, Liverpool should not make a mistake against Brentford at Anfield Road: the transition from Klopp to Slot seems to have been absorbed and even this weekend victory is within reach for the Reds.

In La Liga, Atletico Madrid has been properly reinforced and with an extra Alvarez has a good chance of imposing itself on Girona, which is less strong than last season. In the Bundesliga, on the other hand, Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich takes center stage: the Bavarians, after ramping up in the German Cup last week, are poised to win their first success on the field of a Wolfsburg team coming off a disappointing season. Finally, the Ligue 1 match between Marseille and Reims can be assessed for goals: De Zerbi’s team debuted with a resounding 5-1 win in Brest, and we predict another match of at least three goals overall.
