Monaco-Nice prediction: at home it’s a different story

by Michael

Monaco and Nice have the same number of points in the standings: 47. Two less than Marseille, who are second. So there’s a chance for both of them, obviously, to at least try to finish behind PSG. It would be a very important achievement considering that the Parisians are having a great season and have already won the league.

These matches are usually very heated and hard-fought, with an objectively difficult prediction. But there is one factor that allows us to say one thing: when Monaco play at home they very often manage to win. They have only lost to PSG this season and against Benfica in the Champions League. Of course, there was also the slip-up against Angers but in general, the Principality seems like a very difficult fortress to conquer. Yes, the home field factor could make the difference in this match, something that hasn’t happened very often in previous matches between these two teams.

And then there’s also Nice’s away record that tells us that this could really happen. The visiting team, in fact, has won two games in a row playing away from home – fairly easy fixtures – but going through previous results it’s clear that there’s been a big change. And Monaco could really take advantage of this.
