Genoa-Inter, here’s the video with highlights and highlights from Friday’s Dec. 29 Serie A evening match, with moviola episodes and report cards.
At the Ferraris, Gilardino’s Genoa hosts Simone Inzaghi’s leading Inter Milan. The Ligurians recover Retegui and Messias (both on the bench), both called up for the Dec. 29 challenge. For the Nerazzurri, Lautaro and Dimarco are still absent. Dumfries trained with the group but did not offer physical guarantees to be deployed from the first minute.
Genoa have not found the net in their last 8 challenges against the Nerazzurri in Serie A, but have remained unbeaten in their last two Serie A league matches by drawing against Juventus and winning against Sassuolo. Inter reached the extraordinary mark of 39 wins in all competitions in the calendar year 2023: with a success against Genoa it would equal its own historical record of matches won in a single calendar year (it was 40 in 2005).
Highlights of the challenge
The Inzaghi-coached team started off strong with Mkhitaryan fired into the net, but the Armenian allowed himself to be recovered and kicked badly. At 15′, Doveri interrupts the match due to a smoke bomb on the pitch. On the half-hour mark, after a ten-minute stoppage time, Inter take the lead with Arnautovic’s tap-in. At 42′ came Genoa’s deserved equalizer with Dragusin’s header from a corner.
At the beginning of the second half Arnautovic tried again with a powerful shot that finished just wide. At 66′ Martinez saves on Acerbi’s header. Genoa controlled and Inter could no longer be dangerous. Bad game for Inzaghi’s team

The best player on the field was Dragusin, always ahead of Thuram and very tough in defense and dangerous up front as well, with a header, and not surprisingly scoring (7.5). In Genoa, Gudmundosson also did well: with his touches the boy panics Carlos Augusto several times (7). In Inter only Arnautovic stands out, for the goal and good shoving (6.5). Badly Acerbi and Carlos Augusto (5).
Moviola and highlights of the match
The referee does not cancel Arnautovic’s goal that seems vitiated, in nuce, by an obvious push by Bisseck. The match is very nervous, especially in the second half, and there is little actual playing time.
