Niko Kovac’s green-and-whites play them all in two weeks. Seven days ago they joined Leverkusen, distracted perhaps by their Europa League semifinal with Roma in the Europa League, on 46 points. And now it will depend only on them. Wolfsburg with 180 minutes to go is sixth, but must keep winning if they want to secure at least a place in the next Conference League (much will depend on who wins the German Cup). It is crucial to get results at the Europa-Park-Stadion, and then get the better of agonizing Hertha, one step away from relegation, in the last round. The away Wolves have done worse only than Bayern Munich and Freiburg (24 points in 16 matches) and in the first leg match, dating back to last January, they took the Bianconeri by storm, overwhelmed 6-0.
The Prediction
There is a good chance that Wolfsburg, a team that is in good form and has done very well away this year, will at least avoid defeat. The total goals should be at least three.
