Crystal Palace-Everton, FA Cup: streaming, odds, predictions.

Crystal Palace-Everton is a match valid for the third round of the FA Cup and is played on Thursday at 9 p.m.: odds, predictions, live TV and streaming.

The third round of the FA Cup is the one in which the Premier League clubs also take the stage, and among the clashes featuring two clubs both playing in the top flight, in addition to a classic like the one between Arsenal and Liverpool, Crystal Palace-Everton also stands out, which in the league would be a salvation clash.

Ahead, in the standings, are Roy Hodgson’s Eagles, who have 5 points more than the Toffees but it is a ranking “distorted” by the heavy penalty that the federation has imposed on the Liverpool club for non-compliance with financial fair play. Pending the appeal, Everton is today fourth-last on 16 points. But without the penalty it would have 10 more and be in mid-table. Sean Dyche’s team in recent days, however, seems to have lost that “holy fire” that had animated it in the weeks following the ruling. After the elimination from the League Cup, the other national cup, came three consecutive defeats. The latest, very sharply, at home to Wolverhampton at Molineux (3-0). Whether this is a wake-up call is unknown, certain is that Everton has an obligation to start scoring points again immediately to avoid finding themselves in the relegation zone. Behind Luton Town, which still has a game to make up, has only one point less.

Will it be a real contest?

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, has just broken the long fast of wins that lasted since early November. Last Saturday, the Londoners pierced Brentford 3-1.

Signs of recovery, in fact, had already been glimpsed in the last few games with Manchester City, Brighton, and Chelsea, in which the Eagles might have deserved more. Palace now has six points more than the third-last but cannot expect to rest on its laurels for the same reasons as before. The feeling, however, is that neither will snub the cup commitment, having to play their next game in about ten days.

The prediction

We imagine an intense and balanced match, in which the two teams will not spare themselves. There should be no shortage of goals either, as only two months ago the league match between Palace and Everton ended in a pyrotechnic 3-2 in favor of the Toffees. We expect at least three goals in total this time as well.
