Bundesliga, predictions seventh day: matches Saturday 3:30 p.m.

by Thorsten

Bundesliga, the challenge between Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt stands out: after stopping Bayern Munich, will the Adlers repeat with the Aspirins?

The Bundesliga has also restarted, and among the Saturday afternoon previews stands out the challenge between Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt, a match that promises great entertainment. Two weeks ago, dragged by Egyptian striker Marmoush, the Adlers managed to avoid defeat to Bayern Munich, reeled back in mid-recovery (3-3), and extended their positive streak: Frankfurt’s last defeat, between the Europa League and the league, was at the end of August at home to Borussia Dortmund.

Eintracht thus has all the cards to bother even Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, which is less “alien” than last season. The Aspirins come from two draws in the Bundesliga — on the last day they were stopped at home by newly promoted Kiel — and have slipped to fifth place, -3 from the top, momentarily occupied by Leipzig and Bayern Munich. Bayer Leverkusen in any case has always beaten Frankfurt in the last nine previous matches played at the BayArena and is a slight favorite in a match of at least three goals total and at least one on each side. Also on the scene on Saturday is Leipzig, which can momentarily pull away from Bayern Munich – on the pitch a few hours later – in the event of a win in the away match in Mainz: the Roten Bullen along with the Bavarians are still unbeaten (they have not lost in 17 Bundesliga matches) and have a good chance of putting another three points in their pockets.

The predictions on the other matches

Borussia Monchengladbach has been showing signs of recovery in recent weeks: the defeats are too many – 4 in 6 days – but in front of their own public the Fohlen are always insidious and could take advantage of the not particularly good moment of Heidenheim, which has cashed three defeats in the last four.

Freiburg is also doing better: after the surprising defeat to newly promoted St. Pauli, Julian Schuster’s men reacted by beating Werder Bremen at home, proving that the one with the Browns was just an incident on the road. Augsburg is tough, but Grifo and co. will make the home factor count. Finally, a win within reach for Matarazzo’s Hoffenheim: the Sinsheim club should return to winning ways in its match with disastrous Bochum, last in the standings and still winless.
