Borussia Monchengladbach-Lipsia is a Bundesliga Week 7 match
BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH – LIPSIA | Saturday 6.30pm
Borussia Monchengladbach haven’t won for three Bundesliga rounds. After stopping Bayern Munich, an away point that looked like it could turn their season around, they lost at home to Mainz and then drew away from home against Freiburg. An up and down path for a team definitely built to return to Europe next season, given that this year the hosts do not even have any commitments during the week that can and do take away both mental and physical energy. Unlike Leipzig, who last Wednesday lost, undeservedly, to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
The Rose cure, which took the place of the exonerated Tedesco, seems to have paid off. Immediately, too, as before making a splash in Spain, really putting the reigning champions through their paces and only conceding in the final, Leipzig destroyed Borussia Dortmund on the new coach’s debut day on the bench. There is therefore one favourite team, not least because of the quality of its squad, and it is obviously the visitors. They’ll be looking to make a splash.
The prediction
A match that will surely give at least one goal per team. A match that Leipzig could even win because of what Rose has managed to do immediately from the moment he sat on the German bench. So trust the visitors.
