The highlight of the fourteenth day of the Bundesliga is the challenge at Signal Iduna Park between Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig, the two teams that in theory should give the heavily favored Bayern Munich a run for its money in the fight for the Schale. Leipzig took advantage of this to overtake Dortmund itself: Marco Rose’s men, after two defeats in a row to Wolfsburg and Manchester City, lifted their heads by beating newly promoted Heidenheim 2-1 thanks to goals from Openda and Poulsen. On the injury front Borussia is worse off: in the cup against Leipzig Moukoko, Wolf, Ryerson and Sabitzer were forced out through injury, adding to the absentees Duranville, Nmecha and Haller. Leipzig will be missing Dani Olmo, Werner and Orban.
The prediction
Leipzig has won four of the last five previous matches against Borussia Dortmund, but they won the last challenge, played last March. The yellow-and-whites are very inconsistent this term and could pay for a few too many injuries. Prediction more open than expected in a match that should give at least three goals overall.
