Borussia Dortmund-Eintracht Frankfurt, Bundesliga: lineups,

by Mike

Borussia Dortmund-Eintracht Frankfurt is a match of the 29th day of Bundesliga and is played on Saturday at 6:30pm: TV, predictions.

Borussia Dortmund seven days ago threw away a gigantic opportunity, one to eat your hands and not sleep at night.

Bayern Munich, in fact, was stopped by surprise by Hoffenheim, and the yellow-and-whites, had it not been for that goal Silas cashed in in the last minute of recovery in the match with Stuttgart, would be tied with the Bavarians at the top of the Bundesliga standings by now. But no, they remain -2. They got caught up three times by Edin Terzic’s team at the Mercedes-Benz Arena: the momentary 3-2 goal scored by Giovanni Reyna in extra-time seemed to have put the seal on victory but the red and white found the equalizer just as the referee had the whistle in his mouth. A point that has the aftertaste of success for Sebastian Hoeness’s men, who are trying to get out of the relegation zone. For Borussia, on the other hand, only regret, especially in light of Bayern’s misstep. All is not lost, however: the reigning multiple German champions, despite their clear success in last April 1’s head-to-head clash, do not look like the unbeatable battleship of recent seasons, and more chances could arise again.

Eintracht, all about the cup

Tuchel’s team on this weekend takes the field a few hours earlier than Borussia Dortmund, which will face Eintracht Frankfurt at Signal Iduna Park already knowing the result of the match in Mainz, where the Bavarians will be on stage at 3:30 pm.

Oliver Glasner’s men have now forgotten how to win and, at least as far as the league is concerned, seem to have pulled the oars in the boat. In fact, Eintracht seem to want to focus everything on the German Cup, a competition in which they are the big favorite after the elimination of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. Seventh in the Bundesliga and nine points behind fourth-placed Leipzig, Kolo Muani and his teammates are setting their sights on the domestic cup to at least secure a place in the next Europa League. In the last round, meanwhile, they again missed the appointment with the three points – the fasting has lasted since last February – by drawing at home with Borussia Monchengladbach (1-1).

The Prediction

Borussia Dortmund has virtually no alternative but to win if it wants to keep up with Bayern Munich and stay in the running for the Meisterschale. The three points should come against an Eintracht side that looks like the distant relative of the one from three months ago. Yellowoners favored in a match in which the total goals will be at least three.
