Berrettini makes waves with Rianna: sighting sparks fans’ fantasies

by Mike

Berrettini was spotted with Rianna and that was enough to spark fans’ fantasies: what’s cooking?

It is quite normal that he is not at the top of the thoughts of tennisophiles in the Bel Paese these days. With Jannik Sinner busy in Turin comparing himself with the greats, it’s obvious that little or not at all is being talked about Matteo Berrettini, back from a rather troubled season that ended, as if that wasn’t enough, with the divorce from his longtime coach.

But it is just as the Masters are battling on the concrete of the Pala Alpitour that the Roman, in the background, is struggling to put the pieces back together and build the foundation of his future. It is not yet certain whether or not he has signed an agreement with a new coach, although rumors regarding Thomas Enqvist’s arrival on the bench are becoming increasingly persistent. These may just be rumors for their own sake, however, since the Capitol Hammer and the Swedish coach have yet to be spotted together.

The former number 1 of Italy has allowed himself a few days of relaxation in the company of his girlfriend, showgirl Melissa Satta, but he does not seem to have any intention of “wasting” a single minute more. There is too much to do, there are too many decisions to be made. The stakes are very high, which is why, much to his surprise, Berrettini is already back on the court training for the upcoming season.

Berrettini, video is a response to hater

The two videos he posted a few hours ago on social networks have all the appearance of having a very specific intent. The impression, in fact, is that Matteo shared them via Instagram stories precisely to respond in kind to those who, in recent days, have targeted him for the umpteenth time.

When Melissa had shared with followers the tender shots of their love weekend in Switzerland, the detractors had not been long in coming. They had seized the ball and poked the tennis player, pointing out that while Sinner was dueling with the big boys on the circuit he was thinking about skiing in sweet company. That is why the footage in question, then, suddenly took on the contours of a vitriolic response. Rather than words, Matteo preferred to respond with deeds.

In the images he is seen training on an indoor court together with what would appear to be Umberto Rianna, the over-18 technical manager for Federtennis. One of the most qualified coaches in the world, so to speak, who has always closely followed the Azzurri star players and, consequently, Berrettini and Sinner themselves. Someone on social media started to “dream” and speculated that he might be the “chosen one,” but it is highly unlikely, not to say impossible, since he has a broader role. That he is leading it, then, in this transitional phase, waiting for him to identify an heir to Santopadre?
