Bayern Munich-Bochum, Bundesliga: odds, predictions

by Martin

Bayern Munich-Bochum is a match valid for the fifth day of the Bundesliga and is played on Saturday at 15:30: TV, formations, predictions.

Manchester United ultimately proved to be a tougher client than expected for Bayern Munich, who on their Champions League group stage debut thought they could take advantage of the Red Devils’ difficult moment at home. Instead, Erik ten Hag’s team held out until the very end, risking completing the comeback with two goals from Brazilian Casemiro in the final minutes.

Thomas Tuchel’s men came out on top 4-3 thanks to a goal in the second half from Mathys Tel, a class of ’05 who has been one of the stars of the season. Harry Kane, the Bavarians’ most important signing, also continued to score consistently and has now scored five goals in six games with Bayern Munich. The performance of the German champions, however, is still not entirely convincing: worrying, for example, is the high number of goals conceded. In six official matches, Muller and his teammates only kept their goal unbeaten on the first Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen. Nonetheless, at the top of the standings, with 10 points – waiting, of course, for the match between Stuttgart and Darmstadt – they are there together with Bayer Leverkusen, with whom they shared the stakes a week ago, drawing 2-2 at the Allianz Arena.

Bochum in search of a feat

Bayern Munich will have the chance to play two consecutive matches in front of their own fans, in a stadium where the Bavarians have lost just once in their last 25 Bundesliga matches.

The opponent they will face this time is Bochum. Thomas Letsch’s team is proving that they can maintain their category this year as well, despite that nightmarish start at the home of Stuttgart, who strolled 5-0 over the blue-and-whites. Bochum, however, have not lost since that debacle, drawing three times in a row against Borussia Dortmund, Augsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, always scoring on at least one occasion.

The Prediction

Bochum’s last two visits to the Allianz Arena have been a nightmare for the Ruhr club, who have conceded a total of 10 goals without scoring any. Despite the cup fatigue, this is a match that Bayern Munich should win without major problems, even scoring a good number of goals. The guests are also likely to do so.
