Dario Canovi, a member of Thiago Motta’s entourage, spoke about the Bologna coach’s future to the microphones of TvPlay.
After stating that Thiago Motta would never choose Napoli („not even if De Laurentiis bought him Zirkzee and Calafiori“), Canovi also ruled out Juve as a possible next destination for the coach. The agent’s statements, which have aroused the anger of the Azzurri fans, clarify to a certain extent the future intentions of the Rossoblù coach.
„Thiago Motta is not a coach in contact with Juve,“ said Canovi. „He is a coach destined for great teams, he is among the top four to five coaches in the world. He has a point average of 1.8 at Bologna and that means a lot. But I don’t think there has been contact with Giuntoli, otherwise I would have known.“
Canovi also spoke about the Inter-Juve challenge for the Scudetto. „Inter is considerably better equipped than Juve. The Nerazzurri are the superfavorites to win the Scudetto. „

Without getting out of line, Canovi thus hints that his client may be aiming for the bench of a big one. Barcelona? Or Milan? Everything is still open. And if Napoli seems, for obvious reasons, a team far removed from Thiago Motta, Juve could still be in the running.
