Monday, Dec. 9 predictions: Serie A, La Liga and Premier League

by Mike

Monday Dec. 9 predictions: there are Serie A, La Liga and Premier League postponements, games are also played in Turkey and other minor leagues.

The 15th day of Serie A closes this Monday with the postponement between Monza and Udinese. Two struggling teams, whose last victory now dates back to a month and a half ago, compete. The feeling, at any rate, is that it is Monza that needs the points the most. Despite not winning at U-Power Stadium for 11 games, the Brianzoli should be able to at least avoid defeat.

Monday’s Premier League postponement also pits two teams that are doing poorly and have worrying standings positions against each other, West Ham and Wolverhampton. West Ham slightly favored but, in light of the Hammers’ now proverbial discontinuity, the one at the London Stadium could be a drawn game and anything but a foregone conclusion. Wolverhampton is likely to score at least one goal.

Day 16 of the Spanish La Liga goes into the archives with a delicate salvation clash between two teams currently floundering in the lower reaches of the standings, Getafe and Espanyol. Getafe, which has lost only once in front of its own public this year, should be able to at least avoid defeat in a match in which the number of total goals is likely to be less than three.

The predictions on the other matches

The Seer has also picked these “over 2.5” and “goal” (both teams score) matches: Jong Ajax-De Grafschap and Jong PSV-Roda of Eerste Divisie, Northampton-Peterborough of League One, Hapoel Beer Sheva-Beitar Jerusalem of the Israeli league, and Gaziantep-Rizespor of the Turkish Super Lig.

Predictions: the Seer’s Choice

Winners

Monza or draw (in Monza-Udinese, Serie B, 8:45 p.m.)
