Everton-Liverpool is a match of the fifteenth day of the Premier League and is played on Saturday at 1:30pm: live TV, probable formations, prediction.
Goodison Park will host the Liverpool derby for the last time: from next year, in fact, Everton will change home, moving to a brand new futuristic arena. This will therefore be a cross-city match loaded with meaning for Toffees fans, who last April ended their fasting win streak against the hated Reds, beaten 2-0 (Everton had not won since 2010 in front of their own public).
The gap between the two teams this year, however, seems much wider, with Liverpool being a veritable war machine. After 14 days, Arne Slot’s men are first in the standings, with a 7-point lead over the second-placed teams (Chelsea and Arsenal). Abysmal, then, is the lead over reigning champions City, at -9 from the Reds, who a week ago won the direct clash (2-0) with Guardiola’s team without any problems.
During the week, however, Liverpool saw its long winning streak between all competitions, which had been going on since the end of October, interrupted: in the midweek round Salah and his teammates had to settle for a point at St James’ Park with Newcastle, at the end of a crackling 3-3 draw. The defense, the least beaten in the tournament, was not flawless against the Bianconeri: Everton will be hoping for another bad day, although a super performance will be needed to snatch at least a draw. The Toffees, in any case, arrive at the appointment more relaxed after last Wednesday’s 4-0 thrashing of Wolverhampton: the victory had been missing since mid-October. Everton coach Sean Dyche is expected to confirm the eleven that overwhelmed Wolves, while Slot will not be able to count on disqualified Argentine midfielder Mac Allister.

The Prediction
There is no such thing as a foregone derby, but Everton doesn’t seem to have the means to counter this Liverpool side, which is eager to get going again after the half-hearted misstep at Newcastle: in any case, it’s not to be ruled out that the Toffees will manage to score at least one goal.
