Como-Parma and Genoa-Bologna, Serie A: TV, streaming, likely lineups, predictions

by Mike

Como-Parma and Genoa-Bologna are two matches valid for the eighth day of Serie A and are played Saturday at 3 p.m.: live TV, streaming, probable formations, predictions.

Two newly-promoted teams that in these first two months of the championship have shown great courage, facing each opponent with an open face and maintaining the same attitude – very offensive – as last season. For the moment, however, only Como is smiling, which in the last few days drew with Bologna, beat Atalanta and Verona and put in great difficulty the leading Napoli at the “Maradona” despite losing 3-1.

The Parma, on the other hand, after a positive start (paricon Fiorentina and victory with Milan) has slackened a bit: since their success over the Rossoneri, the Ducali have scored only two points in five games. To the point that Fabio Pecchia’s bench is faltering: the Gialloblù are also paying dearly for too many red cards, as they have collected as many as four since the start of the championship.

The Prediction

Who seems to be better off, as of today, is undoubtedly Fabregas’ Como, which has also been brave in launching some very interesting youngsters (Nico Paz above all, also praised by Messi in the national team). That’s why we believe the Larians are slight favorites in a match of at least three goals overall.

The probable formations of Como-Parma

COMO (4-2-3-1): Audero; Van der Brempt, Kempf, Dossena, Moreno; Sergi Roberto, Perrone; Strefezza, Nico Paz, Fadera; Cutrone.
PARMA (4-2-3-1): Suzuki; Delprato, Balogh, Leoni, Valeri; Bernabé, Sohm; Man, Hernani, Mihaila; Bonny.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 2-1

Genoa in trouble

The 5-1 loss to Atalanta remedied before the national team break plunged Genoa into despondency. Alberto Gilardino’s Rossoblù, which came out clearly weakened by the summer market and grappling with some worrying corporate vicissitudes, suffered their fourth defeat of the season in Bergamo (five if we also consider the one on penalties in the Coppa Italia derby with Sampdoria).

In addition, the starting goalkeeper Gollini was also injured (he will have to undergo surgery) and the club is also running for cover as far as the attack is concerned: from the free agents market during the break, Gaston Pereiro arrived and there is persistent talk of signing Mario Balotelli. From Gilardino, meanwhile, a change of pace is expected starting with the match with Bologna, which comes just a few days before the third Champions League engagement for the Emilian club (next week it will host Aston Villa). The Felsinei are struggling to take off and in the derby with Parma two weeks ago, they recorded yet another draw (0-0).

The prediction

Bologna will manage to avoid defeat in a match that is not expected to hold much spectacle. Likely the number of total goals will be less than three.

The probable lineups of Genoa-Bologna

GENOA (3-5-1-1): Leali; Vogliacco, Bani, Vasquez; Zanoli, Frendrup, Bohinen, Thorsby, Martin; Miretti; Pinamonti.
BOLOGNA (4-3-3): Skorupski; Posch, Beukema, Erlic, Miranda; Aebischer, Freuler, Fabbian; Orsolini, Castro, Ndoye.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-1
