Serie B, high-stakes challenge between first and second in the standings: Pisa vs. Brescia. Sampdoria last in the standings seeks redemption against the excellent Sudtirol.
The sixth day of Serie B gives an interesting summit clash between the leader Pisa and one of the teams dreaming of overtaking the Nerazzurri, Brescia. The Tuscans have 11 points, two more than the Lombardi, second together with Spezia and Sudtirol. For Pippo Inzaghi’s men it has been an unexpectedly positive start: they are still unbeaten and come from two wins in a row with Reggiana and Salernitana. The Lombardi have also earned 6 points in the last two days, beating Sudtirol 2-1 and overwhelming Frosinone 4-0.
Lecito expect a balanced match in which both should find their way to goal. A match with at least one goal on each side also between Cosenza and Sassuolo.The Lupi, despite the sword of Damocles of penalization (4 points down for financial defaults) continue to impress and a week ago took the scalp of the more highly rated Sampdoria. The Emiliani are better off than the Blucerchiati but it will not be easy for them to return from Calabria with 3 points in their pockets. The two victories in the last three games show that Palermo has started to carbonize: the Rosanero, who had not started very well, have a good chance of beating the newly promoted Cesena at the “Barbera” in a match that promises goals. Spezia is also favored in the “almost derby” with Carrarese: the Ligurians at home have always won so far and will probably rule the Tuscans as well.
The predictions on the other matches
Sampdoria is incredibly happy in last place in the standings. The change in the bench (Sottil replaced Pirlo) did not have the desired effects and in Cosenza came the third defeat for the blucerchiati.
The Genoese club this weekend will have to contend with the excellent Sudtirol at Marassi before the derby with Genoa in the Coppa Italia: the Altoatesini have more certainties but a burst of pride from Coda and his teammates cannot be ruled out. Frosinone, another great disappointment of this first part of the season, will also try to turn over a new leaf, but Bari, fresh from their first win of the season against Mantova, will sell their skins dearly at the Stirpe. Balance in Reggiana-Salernitana, but we struggle to discern a clear favorite also in Modena-Juve Stabia and Mantova-Cittadella.
