Netherlands-Bosnia, Nations League: free streaming, odds, prediction

by Michael

Holland-Bosnia is a match valid for the first day of the group stage of the Nations League and is played on Saturday at 8:45 p.m.: statistics, free streaming, likely lineups, prediction.

Euro 2024 left all in all a good memory among Dutch fans. Making it to the top four was not a given, and the fact that Ronald Koeman’s troop managed to reach the semifinals was welcomed. Of course, there was no shortage of regret after the balanced challenge with England, as the Netherlands cashed in the decisive goal in the 90′ when the two teams seemed resigned to playing extra time.

Some doubts, however, remain: the Netherlands, in fact, compared to the other big boys who made it to the bottom had the smoothest path, facing the not irresistible Romania and Turkey in the round of 16 and quarterfinals, respectively. In the group, by the way, not everything had gone smoothly: victory with Poland in the opener, a deadlocked draw with France, and a crushing defeat with Austria.

Holland, it’s ballot between Zirkzee and Brobbey

In the Nations League, the Oranje are expected to challenge Germany for the top spot in League A Group 3. From this edition, the top two qualify for the knockout stage, the last will relegate to League B, and the third will have to play a playoff with the runner-up of a League B group.

Not to be missed, then, is the Eindhoven match with Bosnia, promoted from League B after winning a group that also included Finland, Montenegro and Romania. The Balkans, however, missed qualifying for the European Championships in the following months, losing the playoff semifinal to Ukraine. Sergej Barbarez is on the bench today, and with him came two defeats out of two, however predictable, to England and Italy in the pre-Euro 2024 friendlies. The Bosnian coach in the Netherlands will be able to count on Dzeko, ready to lead his national team’s attack for the umpteenth time, while it’s a ballot in the Netherlands on who should fill the central point role in the 4-2-3-1: Brobbey is favored but watch out for former Bologna man Zirkzee and Weghorst.
