Torino-Milan, Serie A: streaming, odds, predictions

by Thorsten

Torino-Milan is a match valid for the thirty-seventh day of Serie A and is played on Saturday at 8:45 p.m.: odds, predictions, live TV and streaming.

The five-goal thrashing of Cagliari last Saturday (5-1) at the San Siro allowed Milan to end their fasting win streak – the three points had been missing for more than a month – and end any talk of second place. The Rossoneri, who climbed to 74 points, are now unreachable by both Juventus and Bologna and have secured a pass to the Final Four of the Italian Super Cup, scheduled for January on Saudi soil.

A necessary success but one that moves little-the Diavolo’s season cannot be considered positive-and one that only fuels regrets. In the Milan house meanwhile, they are already focused on the future: the Pioli era is coming to an end but the club still has no clear ideas on who should take his place and the casting gives the impression of still being wide open. Theo Hernandez and his teammates meanwhile prepare to face their last away match of the season at home to a Torino side that finds itself in the running for the Conference League. The granata are tenth in the standings and have just crossed the 50-point mark: this year, however, even finishing eighth gets a ticket to Europe, and Fiorentina, on the pitch twenty-four hours earlier in their direct clash with Napoli, have only three more points (with one match to spare). The comeback victory against Verona – Savva and Pellegri upended the Scaligeri in the last round – restored Ivan Juric’s smile. His Torino had not won for five days. More importantly, he hadn’t scored in as many as four rounds.

Torino-Milan: the latest news on the lineups

In the Granata defensive trio Juric might prefer Vojvoda to Lovato, while in midfield Tameze is asking for space: the former Verona man is likely to duet with Ilic. As a result Ricci will be moved a few meters further forward, in the role usually filled by the injured Vlasic (season already over for the Croatian). Up front more Sanabria than Okereke.

On the other side, Pioli has to give up starting goalkeeper Maignan, unavailable as well as Mirante, Kjaer, Loftus-Cheek and Chukwueze. Gabbia, disqualified, is also out. Kalulu should again win the ballot with Calabria, in the middle instead wide to the Musah-Reijnders tandem.

The Prediction

Milan carefree and with no more goals, Torino who can still have their say for Conference League qualification. A positive result by the granata would not be a surprise given that in front of its public Ivan Juric’s team has lost only one game since last October. Fewer than four goals overall are expected: barely eight goals have been scored so far at the Olympic-Grande Torino.

The probable lineups of Torino-Milan

TORINO (3-4-2-1): Milinkovic-Savic; Vojvoda, Buongiorno, Masina; Bellanova, Ilic, Tameze, Rodriguez; Ricci, Sanabria; Zapata.
MILAN (4-2-3-1): Sportiello; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori, Hernandez; Musah, Reijnders; Pulisic, Bennacer, Leao; Giroud.

POSSIBLE RESULT: 1-1
