There is only one previous match between the two teams and that was over a decade ago in a friendly. In short, it could be an advantage to be rested, even though Sporting did not have all that much trouble in the league against Portimonese, who were beaten 4-0: the Portuguese thus posted their third win in a row without conceding a goal. In short, the moment is definitely positive for the home team.
The Prediction
There are two teams on the pitch, however, with clearly different values. On paper, the English team appears to be stronger, which has been reinforced in the summer market. A Sporting affirmation therefore appears difficult. The challenge, therefore, in a match of at least two goals in total, could see an affirmation of the troop led by the Italian coach Antonio Conte.
