Roma-Lazio official lineups for the challenge: predicted scorers, cautions and marksmen of the Capital derby. Here are all the tips.
It’s never a trivial match. Winning a derby is worth more than just three points. At a pivotal stage of the season, Roma and Lazio face each other in an extracittadina that promises to be absolutely fiery. The margins for error have thinned, becoming almost nonexistent. The two teams’ European chase will have a crucial junction in a match of which both Tudor and De Rossi have remarked on the importance, while trying to tone it down. Below are the choices of the two coaches:
ROMA (4-3-2-1): Svilar; Celik, Mancini, Llorente, Angeliño; Cristante, Paredes, Pellegrini (C); Dybala, El Shaarawy; Lukaku All: Daniele De Rossi.
LAZIO (3-4-2-1): Mandas; Casale, Romagnoli, Gila; Marusic, Guendouzi, Vecino, Felipe Anderson; Isaksen, Kamada; Immobile
Roma-Lazio, the scorers prediction
This season it has sailed in alternate plates. Flashy against the medium-small teams, almost never incisive when the bar was raised (except for the flash in Rotterdam against Feyenoord). Romelu Lukaku plays so much in this derby, probably even a piece of his future with the Giallorossi jersey. From Dybala’s return from the first minute Big Rom can only benefit. Lazio’s defense, although revitalized with the new module, showed some old lurching in the Coppa Italia first leg against Juventus. Should Roma be able to take over the midfield, the vertical imbues of its most technical players (Dybala and Pellegrini first and foremost), could pave the way for Romelu Lukaku’s flurries. In the derby, the scorer’s choice is leaning toward the Belgian giant.
Probable Roma-Lazio cautions and marksmen
With the deluxe version of Pellegrini admired in recent appearances, it becomes rather difficult to believe that the Roma captain will not be able to frame the goal mirror at least once. The shooters’ discourse, however, is much broader and more complex. Revitalized by the De Rossi cure, El Shaarawy has all the credentials to make himself dangerous in Mandas’ sides with at least one shot in the mirror. Skilled in his insertions in the offlights, Bryan Cristante could also hurt Lazio’s defense: the former Atalanta man, who is probably experiencing his best moment with the Roma jersey, likes him and not a little from a marksman perspective.
On the Lazio side, on the other hand, there are mainly two more attractive names in the marksman’s perspective: on the one hand Felipe Anderson, a real joker of the biancoceleste chessboard, and on the other Isaksen, who has appeared on the ball when called upon. Often dangerous in set-ball situations, moreover, to speculate that Vecino will manage to warm Svilar’s gloves at least once is not utopian.
Watch out for Guendouzi. Indeed, the former Marseille man is not only a candidate as a possible marksman, but it is not out of the question that he will also end up in the match director’s notebook. Crisp in both the possession and non-possession phases, Tudor’s halfback could come in late at least once and end up in the naughty notebook. Casale, Celik and Paredes also risk yellow.
