Milan-Napoli official lineups: predicted scorers, cautions and marksmen for the challenge scheduled at San Siro. Here are the latest tips.

Everything is ready at the San Siro for the kickoff of Milan-Napoli. The confrontation between the Rossoneri and the Azzurri could represent an important crossroads for the season of the two teams, which are in the hunt for continuity in performance and output. Awaiting the challenge of Juve, engaged tomorrow night against Udinese, Pioli’s Milan wants to continue nibbling away at the Bianconeri; Napoli, on the other hand, intends to give continuity to the two suffered but precious successes obtained against Salernitana and Hellas Verona. Here are the choices of the two coaches:

MILAN (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Adli, Bennacer; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud. All. Pioli.

NAPOLI (3-5-1-1): Gollini; Ostigard, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus; Di Lorenzo, Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski, Mazzocchi; Kvaratskhelia, Simeone. All. Mazzarri.

Milan-Napoli, the scorers prediction

Save resounding reversals it will be Milan the team that will try to weave the most important game plots in the match. The Napoli seen at work in recent outings is in fact a very different team from the one admired last year. Most likely, the Azzurri will try to keep their center of gravity low in order to take advantage of any restarts. The quality of the Devil’s three-quarter, however, is a factor that is far from negligible. Redolent of a season full of lights and shadows, it is not out of the question that Leao will be able to find the crux of the matter with a play of his own. His quality and tears in this kind of match will be too important a lead for the Rossoneri not to exploit. Alternatively, watch out for Pulisic: the former Chelsea man in decisive matches is exalted and often “Captain America” is in the right place at the right time. A goal from him is not to be ruled out at all.

Milan-Napoli, probable cautions and shooters

Often decisive when called upon, Loftus Cheek is one of Milan’s beating hearts. Rediscovered decisive in the goal area as well, the English midfielder has steadily risen in performance. His physicality and the insertions with which he has embellished the last official tests are enough elements for him to be included in the papable shooters of the competition. He could warm Gollini’s gloves with a conclusion of his own, too, Theo Hernandez, who has returned on a permanent basis to dart down the left-hand lane. On the opposite flank, however, as marksmen watch out especially for Zielinski (returned starter) and Anguissa.

The stakes are high and the margins for error increasingly slim. By buttoning up the midfield, Mazzarri will try to dry up the opponent’s sources of play along the lines of what happened against Inter. Mazzocchi on the one hand and Ostigard on the other, however, may struggle to interpret some defensive slips to the best of their ability should Milan succeed in varying their tactical solutions. The yellow risk for the two is very high. Calabria, not always perfect in his closures and often cumbersome, could also end up in the match director’s notebook. Adli’s candidacy among the possible cautions is also liked.
