Saturday, Jan. 6 predictions: Serie A, FA Cup and more.

by Lea

Saturday, Jan. 6 predictions: there are four Serie A matches, the FA Cup, the French Cup, the King’s Cup and other tournaments around the world.

On Epiphany Day, the only one among the major leagues to take the field will be Serie A with four matches: at 12:30 p.m., Inter Milan start as clear favorites over Verona further weakened by the winter soccer market. At 3 p.m., the challenge between Frosinone and Monza promises goals; the same goes for Sassuolo-Fiorentina scheduled for 8:45 p.m. Lecce should at least avoid defeat in the 18:00 challenge against Cagliari.

In England, France and Spain it is time for domestic cups. In FA Cup wins for Bournemouth and Aston Villa against QPR and Middlesbrough, Championship teams largely within reach. Among the at least three-goal matches, watch out for Southampton-Walsall, Chelsea-Preston and Swansea-Morecambe.

Other match predictions

In the King’s Cup, the spotlight is on the surprising Girona, capable of beating Atletico Madrid with a pyrotechnic 4-3 in the last round of La Liga: a new victory on the field of Elche is likely.
