The excellent start to the season had deluded Hoffenheim fans, who were convinced that their team once again had what it takes to challenge the Bundesliga bigwigs and enter the race for the Europe that counts. They can no longer pick themselves up for Torsten Lieberknecht’s Lilien, who continue to postpone the appointment with three points since that double success in early October with Werder Bremen and Augsburg, still the only two victories of the newly promoted lineup.
