Maurizio Sarri was dark in the face at the end of the Lecce match and did not send his players a message, even in front of the cameras.

Taxing, then, to recover points on direct competitors: against the newly promoted Genoa, at the Olimpico, it is forbidden to make mistakes.
Watch out, however, since the Rossoblù, so far protagonists more on the market than on the field, also want to trash the ugly 4-1 defeat to Fiorentina at the Marassi, the worst way to re-embrace the maximum series, rediscovered after only one year of purgatory. The lesson taught by the Viola, however, may have been a not entirely negative “shock” for a Genoa side that has what it takes to achieve a quiet salvation.

Sarri’s defense regains an important pawn, Casale, with Marusic and Lazzari acting instead on the two flanks (Hysaj is still not at his best). At the direction, Cataldi has a slight advantage over Rovella, but the former Juventus man is pawing for a starting shirt. Nor is former Eintracht Kamada sure to start from the 1′, as he faces competition from Vecino. In attack, Immobile will be supported by the usual Zaccagni and Felipe Anderson.

In Genoa, one of the new signings, Messias, is unavailable; he will not return until September. Along with the former AC Milan man, also in the infirmary are Vogliacco, Melegoni and Pajac. In the three-quarter Gilardino launches Malinovskyi, who has just arrived from Marseille. Gudmundsson, struggling with a court case, will have to watch out for competition from Aramu.
The prediction
Genoa’s last success against Lazio was in 2019. And in the last six challenges, the Rossoblù have come out on top on five occasions against the Capitolini. Precedents in which there has never been a shortage of goals, a statistic that can come in handy today as well since plenty of goals were scored in the first outings of both. The feeling, in any case, is that Sarri’s men will manage to file away the bad night in Lecce, recording their first success of the season in a match in which Alberto Gilardino’s team will also likely find the back of the net.
